EARLY BIRD LIONS CLUB REGULAR MEETING

February 26, 2010 MINUTES

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 AM by He-Lion Don.

15 Members present; Lions Mike, Marvin, Ruben, Dennis, Tim, Dan, Jorge, Brad, Gustavo, Pat, Jim, Dick, Mary, Don, and Sara.  Guests were Speaker Curt Freeland and Larry Gilmore.

Flag salute by Lion Pat, song led by Lion Mike and Invocation by Lion Jim.

Minutes of the February 12, 2010 Regular Meeting were presented, motioned for approval by Lion Dick, seconded and approved.

As the program, Curt Freeland reviewed the history of Habitat, described how it works, and answered questions about Habitat from the audience.                               

$5.00 Happy Bucks were collected; $5.50 fines, and $4.25 on the drawing.  

Correspondence was nothing

Standing Committees  

1. Sight – Lion Ruben – 25 people assisted since he became Sight Chairman      

2. Membership – Lion Dan J – would like help on ideas for a Membership Campaign

3. Programs – Lion Sara – covered through the April 9^th Regular Meeting – need ideas    

Other Committee Reports      

1. Spaghetti Dinner – Lions Jim/Mary  – Hogan – March 29^th Committee meet 6 PM Monday March 1^st at Gambinos
